Black Panther

One of my favorite things about working @marvelstudios is to witness the in progress work of creative people.

Characters, stories, ideas are refined through iterations and collaboration. It was an absolute pleasure and privilege to witness Killmonger's character take shape with each iteration of the script. Everytime I read the script he was more fully formed, his motivations more compelling, and his character more defined.

When tackling this keyframe I tried to imbue the Wakanda Sunset with as much drama and meaning as possible. This sunset represents different things to T'Challa and Killmonger. What are they feeling at that moment? When Killmonger finally lays eyes on the sunset of his homeland. What did he fight for? Was it all worth it in the end?
